Welcome
Cooly's Cuties™ is a Shih Tzu education and breeder transparency page for families researching Shih Tzu puppies, puppy development, grooming, temperament, emotional support potential, therapy dog potential, and responsible puppy buyer questions.
Shih Tzu Puppy Education
Shih Tzu puppies are adorable, but families also benefit from education about temperament, grooming, training, sleep, gentle handling, socialization, house training, and lifelong care. We share guidance for families who want to truly understand the breed.
Our Philosophy
Cooly's Cuties™ is built on more than 30 years of hands-on dog knowledge, intentional observation, and deeply personal puppy raising. We do not see Shih Tzu puppies as products. We study each puppy as an individual — watching personality, confidence, sensitivity, communication style, resilience, and family fit as they begin to unfold.
Support Dog Foundations
Some Shih Tzu may show early promise for emotional support, therapy dog, facility dog, or small service dog foundations, but that potential must be approached with honesty, patience, and high standards. We focus on early developmental support, temperament observation, confidence building, handling, and thoughtful education. No placement, certification, public access right, or future working role is promised or implied.
Cooly's Cuties Featured Education
Cooly's Cuties connects Shih Tzu families with education about puppy development, Shih Tzu learning, responsible breeder support, family-dog foundations, training resources, and whole-dog care.

Is a Shih Tzu Right for Your Family?
Shih Tzu are often affectionate companion dogs, but they still need structure, grooming, veterinary care, training, patience, and realistic expectations. A loving family fit matters more than a quick decision.
Family-Raised, Not Factory-Raised
Cooly's Cuties™ values loving daily care, gentle handling, observation, early learning, and family life. We avoid making guarantees about temperament, health, behavior, or future job success — instead we share honest education.
Puppy Development Matters
Early puppy development includes gentle handling, safe household exposure, grooming practice, confidence building, rest, social learning, body awareness, and transition support — building blocks for a well-adjusted companion. Learn more through Platinum Puppy Village™.
Grooming & Care Awareness
Shih Tzu need regular coat care, face care, eye-area awareness, nail care, dental care, ear care, bathing, brushing, and grooming cooperation practice. Daily care builds comfort and trust.
Temperament & Emotional Support Potential
Some Shih Tzu may be good emotional support companions depending on temperament, health, training, household fit, and human needs. We do not promise ESA suitability, therapy dog success, service dog success, certification, legal access, or behavior outcomes.
Therapy Dog & Small Service Dog Education
Some Shih Tzu may have traits that make them candidates for therapy dog, facility dog, or small service dog foundations — but only with the right temperament, health, training, handler match, and legal or professional guidance. Explore Lewis & Clark Therapy/Service Dogs™.
Breeder Transparency
Puppy buyers should ask about parent dogs, breed-appropriate health documentation, temperament observations, grooming needs, early development, transition support, and realistic breed expectations. Learn more through Crown & Collar Institute™.
Puppy Inquiry
Families are welcome to reach out to learn more about puppy plans, education, family fit, and next steps. There is no pressure — only honest conversation.
